Many people question us regarding the meaning or origin of our company name. The dictionary says that Aorist is a past tense of Greek verbs, denoting an action, without indicating whether the action is completed, continued, or repeated. That doesn't tell us much. The reason for the choice has been lost in the company history. We really don’t know why it was selected, but our speculation for the choice is probably a combination of the following:
- It started with an "A" and therefore it was placed at the top of many alphabetical lists.
- It was difficult to pronounce and spell; therefore people are more likely to remember it.
- That was as far as the first owner got in the dictionary.
It’s really not important any more. What is important is what we are, what we do and the reason we were founded.
Aorist in a Technical Staffing service that provides Technically-skilled people to our clients as Contractors/ Temporaries, Contract-to-hires, or as fee paid direct placements. We supply individuals with skills in the areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and Manufacturing.
Since 1967 we have successfully served our clients by focusing on their needs, providing high-quality people at fair prices, providing a high level of personal service and continually expanding our services as our customer’s needs have grown.
The reason for our existence was to offer equal employment opportunities to all people with technical backgrounds. Now, this position is well accepted. But in 1967 it was not. Aorist adopted the position from its inception and continues to practice it on a day-to-day basis.
Aorist currently has three offices located in the Metropolitan areas of Denver, Colorado Springs and Phoenix. In addition to Colorado and Arizona, we have had employees assigned to clients in New Mexico, California, Idaho, Texas, Minnesota and Florida. Our employees have also served our clients on International assignments in Australia, England, Ireland, Japan, and China.
